1960s Omega De Ville Ref. 161,024 Cal. 711 Automatic Dress Watch Omega introduced the De Ville series in the late 1960s, and this series features a dial that has acquired a wonderful patina from the years, refined with applied indexes and black inserts. The stainless steel case has a one-piece body. First appearing in 1963 as part of the Seamaster series, the De Ville became its own collection in 1967, occupying the dress watch position in the Omega catalog aimed at younger customers. De Ville was clearly inspired by the Seamaster, but as it became its own line it developed a unique personality of its own. Omega was officially founded in 1903, and its watches became the choice of NASA and were the first watch sent to the Moon in 1969. Omega has been the official timekeeping device of the Olympic Games since 1932. James Bond has been wearing this in movies since 1995; Other famous Omega users past and present include John F.
