A Chinese pale celadon jade mounted wood box, the Qing dynasty jade plaque carved in the form of a caparisoned recumbent elephant, 10 cm, inset into an ebonised hardwood box, 18cm x 12 cm Ex. Gorringe's UK The Jade plaque has some natural inclusions to the stone and has been later inset into an ebonised wood box. The box appears to be in good condition with minor occasional scratches to the surface. No major issues detected.
