Thereafter in the historical collection of the Russian historical book collector V.G. Radionov. Written by the historian and journalist Jean Rousset de Missy (1686-1762) under the pseudonym Baron Iwan Nestesuranoi and published in 1728 and 1729, two volumes (of four) containing historical notations and observations on the reign of Tzar Peter the Great (1672-1725). 550pp (book I) & 717pp (Book II). Full leather bound, ribbed spine. Book I with back cover becoming detached, no other significant damages. Normal wear to the leather commensurate with age. Book II with moderate age-related wear to the leather and hinges. Solid body, no significant damages. Both copies marked with the official French stamp of the Bureau of Archduke Kirill of Russia, further stamped with later collector´s mark of V.G. Radionov.
