Description
It is a gong made of copper coated with tin.
The year name of the 3rd year of Bunka Heiin and Oyama Seki are engraved on it.
I think this item is from Showa Period, in Edo style.
There is a record that a room was rented out for a major event in Kyoto, and this gong is said to have been used at that event.
Is it for a barker and advertising?
Although it is called a gong, it does not produce a particularly resonant sound, but it is well-built and has good workmanship.

There is some discoloration over time, parts where the tin has peeled off, small scratches, and small dents, but there is no noticeable damage.
