The Kristall R was built in Belluno by the Chinaglia Domenico company, a company probably already operating in the electromechanical sector and arrived at the construction of photographic equipment through a path unknown to date. The Kristall R was the last camera produced by Chinaglia and for this very reason rare, in fact very few of these jewels have been sold. Most of them had been sold to England. The main technical characteristics of this camera are: - 24x36 mm format on 35 mm film in standard magazines - interchangeable optics with 39x1 screw mount - rangefinder coupled to focus with single viewfinder. This one for sale has the serial number 20210 5 digit starting number 20 - 300 examples produced this should be the 210 produced. It is in good condition, only the signs of the time on this rare and fantastic Italian camera. The shutter clicks well at all speeds from 1/20sec. at 1/1000sec. + B and the curtains are in perfect condition with no holes or tears. The rangefinder is accurate and has contrast. All leather around the camera is original and is intact. The lens is a rare Schneider Kreuznach Xenar 38mm f2.8 without coupling to the rangefinder, given the focal length of 38mm it is a medium wide angle which, taking advantage of the depth of field, can be used with fixed focus. However, the focus is soft and precise, the lenses are clear and clean without scratches, without fog, without dust, without internal fungus and there are no gaps between the lenses. The diaphragm moves perfectly and has no oil on the blades. The Steinheil Culminar 135mm has a rangefinder match, the lenses are clear and clean, no scratches or marks, no internal fungus.
