A superb contemplative miniature prayer manuscript in good condition, showing few signs of handling. The manuscript is wonderfully decorative, with the free flowing black ink nasta'liq script contained within gold cloud surround and bordered by some exquisitely detailed floral arabesque decoration and a central dividing column. It is crowned with a lovely gold decorative 'Sun' heading. There is also a heading written in Thuluth in blue ink within a scarce central decorative gold cartouche. This is likely to have been a travelling prayer book because of its small size which makes the condition more remarkable.
