1919 Shimaoka Tatsuzo, born in Tokyo.
Graduated from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1941, Department of Ceramic Industry.
In 1946 he studied under Shoji Hamada (first human national treasure).
1954 Shimaoka Tatsuzo, building kiln and independence.
He received the Japan Civic Museum Award in 1962.
In 1980 he won the Tochigi Prefectural Cultural Award Award.
1994 He received the Gold Award of the Japan Ceramic Association in 1995.
1996 Shimaoka Tatsuzo,
accredited as a nationally designated important intangible cultural property holder (human national treasure).
