Orient - Rare Slide rule day-date watch - Sans Prix de Réserve - EM58-C2 CEM58003KW - Homme - 2000-2010

Very rare, automatic titanium Orient EM58-C2 Slide rule day-date watch in incredible condition. This is a truly unique and rare piece from the mid 2000’s with a case and bracelet of full titanium. The Orient Titanium Automatic Slide rule watches came out around 2005 and were, and still are, very popular but very difficult to obtain outside of Japan. This is the Orient EM58-C2 CEM58003KW Grey face model. It is a stunning eye-catching watch! The radiation of the titanium case and bracelet combined with the incredible mint dial and lunette just pops and entices people whether they are into watches or not. It is a real conversation starter. The case, backplate and bracelet are in great condition. The dial is in an incredible mint condition. Applied indices, lettering and hands are crisp and clear. The crystal is in great shape. It brings a sense of ruggedness, engineering and functionality with it, the kind of watch an engineer out in a jungle building a reservoir dam would wear. The slide rule function works, see some of the pictures for explanation. The watch runs very well and keeps accurate time with only +8 seconds a day deviation, this is very accurate for any mechanical watch! It uses a very high-quality Orient 46943 movement running at 21600 A/h for excellent accuracy and a power reserve of 42 hours. It has a Day Date complication with quickset. The watch comes on a its original full titanium bracelet signed on the clasp with Orient and its logo. Some history on Orient: The Orient Watch Company has a rich history dating back over a century. Founded in 1951, the company has evolved into one of the largest producers of mechanical watches in Japan. Here are some key points from its history and notable watch models: Origins: The company traces its roots back to 1901 when Shogoro Yoshida established a watch shop in Tokyo. By 1920, Toyo Tokei Manufacturing was producing clocks, and in 1934, wristwatches were added to their lineup. Post-War Era: After World War II, the company resumed watch production in 1950 under the name Tama Keiki Company. In 1951, it rebranded as Orient Watch Company and introduced the iconic Orient Star series. Innovations: Orient focused on mechanical watches, introducing models like the ultra-thin Orient Finess in 1967 and the high-beat Orient Tenbeat in 1970. Recent Developments: In the 1990s and early 2000s, Orient continued to innovate with features like power reserve indicators and world time functions. A few Notable Watch Models: • Royal Orient • Fineness • Orient Bambino • Orient Mako These models represent just a fraction of Orient's diverse range of timepieces that blend tradition, innovation, and affordability, making them highly sought after by watch enthusiasts worldwide.
