Almost an orange-pink shade, the 1950 Cappellano has a multi-layered nose with some herbs and menthol. In the mouth it shows a great richness of red berries on a background of great acidity that peeks out on the finish. It is almost chewable and the tannins are not covered by the hints of intense fruit it possesses.
With its over 120 years, the Barolo Cappellano remains a red wine with notes to be tasted. Also for this reason it is perfectly presented as a meditation wine to be savored contemplating all the sensory spheres.
