Big Peat Tyrol Edition Islay - Even if he doesn't smile very much, Big Peat is definitely happy about his snowy backdrop. Only 600 bottles were filled by the peaty fellow, which is the result of a marriage of characterful wines such as Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore and Port Ellen. The result is adorned with a dense carpet of smoke and a good portion of peat. Nose: Fresh, salty aromas appear initially, giving way to sweet tones of dried malt with peat. Palate: A smoking chimney brings notes reminiscent of sweet tar, ash and a salty sandy beach. Finish: A long-lasting spectacle full of salt, spicy liquorice, a smoldering campfire and phenol.
