DESCRIPTION Good condition Item Description This notable set titled "A Single Octave" comprises seven out of the eight copperplate etchings from the limited series of 80 pieces created in 1980 by Kaoru Saito. Reflecting the artist's expertise in the mezzotint technique, these prints illustrate women shrouded in darkness, enveloped in a lyrical and fantastical atmosphere. While one print from the complete series is absent, this collection retains its artistic value, with each piece signed by Saito himself. These works were handled by department stores, indicating their significant cultural status. Saito's ability to draw the viewer into the intimate realm of his creations is evident in the deep blacks and intricate details of these etchings.
