Beautiful and tall Art Nouveau vase from the famous Bohemian / Austrian ceramic maker Amphora. Very rare Edda series. Well marked on the bottom. Authentic. Depicts a landscape based on Norse mythology from Icelandic poetry from the Middle Ages. Beautiful Art Nouveau shape and colors. Also stamped on the vase itself at the bottom by the designer Edward Stellmacher. This series was awarded an award in 1900 and was seen as the most unusual of the entire Amphora range. Bought from a Belgian antique dealer. Perfect condition except for a fine, almost invisible scratch almost at the bottom of the foot (see last photo). 42 cm high. Base is 19 cm wide. colors like sunset or desert: gold, purple, green, yellow. Jugendstil.
