Our refined 50 & 50 wine was born from the friendship that binds the owners of Avignonesi a Montepulciano and Capannelle in Chianti. The first vintage of 50 & 50 was 1988: during a jovial dinner the exes of the two owners began to compare the their wines have obtained this exceptional blend of 50% Sangiovese from Capannelle and 50% Merlot from Avignonesi. The legend in a bottle. 50 and 50 has an intense ruby ​​red color. The bouquet opens with aromas of ripening black and red fruit, followed by hints of Mediterranean herbs and sweet spices. On the palate it is rich and persistent with a long and balsamic finish. This refined combination of Merlot and Sangiovese is perfect for long bottle ageing.
