Cuivre Un brasero en cuivre sculpté de personnages de la période Edo - 24.2 cm (Sans Prix de Réserve)

A bronze brazier crafted by Hannya Kankei. Hannya Kankei, who apprenticed under his father, Nidai Kankei, and mastered the technique of casting twin molds. His skill has been recognized in various places. This brazier also depicts the lives of people before the Edo period through its sculptural details. The three-dimensional expressions of the people are very rich. They depict various scenes such as playing, calligraphy, reading hanging scrolls, and more. Originally used as a brazier, nowadays there aren't many opportunities to use braziers. In Japan, some people use it as a planter. It seems suitable for use as a flowerpot as well. Born in 1933 in Takaoka City. In 1950, he started assisting his father, Yoshiyoshi, in the family business, which continues to this day.
