DETAILS: This lovely pen shows a nice vintage natural patina, especially concerning the cap, very acceptable and well balanced wear overall ! Wonderful vintage Parker "51" model MK I from early production 1946 ("6" engraved on the barrel near clutch ring - visible in pictures). In nice and scarce Cedar Blue colour Lucite plastic barrel and grip section. Sterling Silver (925) cap fine parallel lines engraving with smooth polished and engraved lip band. Gold plated clip and gray mother-of-pearl conical cap jewel. Old style Vacumatic arrow clip with Blue diamond on top. Vacumatic filler with amber plastic plunger hidden under a blind cap. 14K/585 solid gold nib, probably "F" fine tip (looks so, not marked outside). The barrel lip is engraved in two lines under the clutch ring: PARKER "51" - MADE IN U.S.A. - 6 (see pictures, first line partially faded). Total length (cap closed): 13,6 cm. Made in USA. Perfectly clean and shiny, working 100% ! No case or instructions supplied, sorry. All original and authentic, Please consider the pictures as part of the description as they show the exact item that will be purchased. CONDITION: Very good vintage overall - indeed very nice with few minor wear marks, especially cap wear, and no flaws. Working 100%. Plastic barrel and section very polished and shiny with only couple light scratches near section opening bottom, not very noticeable. No obvious marks, no dents or scuffs. No cracks on body. The engravings near the clutch ring are partially faded/worn first line, but still recognizable ! Sterling cap shows minor wear and insignificant marks like micro scratches. Slightly worn silver is more noticeable on top end near clip ring (see last pictures). No deformations. No dents, no dings, no cracks. No scuffs and no oxidation. Clip and MOP jewel are perfect with no wear or marks all over, except clip very slight wear point and ring edges. No obvious plating wear/brassing to clip. MOP jewel perfectly conserved and shiny with no yellowing. Clip is perfectly straight aligned and adjusted firmly to the cap surface. No repairs. No deformation to cap and barrel. Cap closes smoothly and holds tight both closed and posted. The nib is ok, no marks and no deformations, with plenty iridium. Tuned. Flexible and smooth spring action of filling system push button. Filling up easily, holding good quantity of ink (if plunger pushed several times). No leaks or blots. Writing perfectly and smoothly (tested). No personal engravings. In perfect working condition.
