The seal number(s) you see on the photos might differ from the one(s) on your bottle(s). 2021 100 Hectares Filigrana Grande Reserva White 6 x 0.75L DESCRIPTION The history of the 100HECTARES wines begins in the early 70’s, when Brás and Cigarro family – which has an enormous passion for the Douro region – makes major investments in the purchase and renovation of properties located in Douro – Baixo Corgo sub-region. The estates of the family are the origin of their wines, and the production is made exclusively from grapes coming from their properties, which is at the heart of the family’s production philosophy. For some time, majority production from its vineyards was sold to competitors in the region, but in 2009 André and Filipe Brás wanted to monetize their own production of raw material, winemaking an estimated 30% to 40% of grapes. Some surplus production is sold to producers in the region. The duty of passing the legacy from generation to generation is a feeling rooted in the family. WINEMAKER: Nuno Felgar. VINIFICATION Selection of grapes at the cutting stage and shipping in 20kg crates directly to our winery, where the winemaking process begins, along with fermentation in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures. Aging for 6 months in new French oak barrels with “bâtonnage”. TASTING NOTES With a very delicate and elegant profile, the floral and fruit notes at the core stand out. The barrel, very discreet, provides harmony and complexity, a creamy texture in the mouth and a good structure supported by firm acidity. Long, mineral and elegant finish. SERVING Good with seafood, grilled fresh fish, white meats and as an aperitif. Serve at 8ºC – 12ºC.
