It was created to protect the vineyard, wine and the ancient lifestyle of this wine sub-region and bring even more renown and quality to the wine produced here. Over the years, an intense effort has been made to protect grape varieties and production techniques, which is why, in the winery heritage of the Winery, autochthonous grape varieties are discovered, perfected from generation to generation, among which Antão stands out. Vaca. This grape variety, legitimized as the Vidigueira variety and inspiring muse of the winery, gives rise to an exceptional white wine whose notoriety earns it the title of «The White of Alentejo». With a production of approximately 6 million liters of wine per year and 8 million kilos of grapes per harvest, resulting from the exploration of around 1500 hectares of vineyards by its approximately 300 partners, it is today a modern and prominent winery. VINIFICATION Aged for 8 months in French and American oak barrels. 2015 TASTING NOTES Wine with an intense garnet color. Very complex and fruity with notes of jammed fruits. The flavor is full-bodied, with wood and fruit in full harmony. The finish is long, persistent and slightly spicy. 2019 TASTING NOTES From the cool region of Vidigueira, this wine has a fine texture and structure. It is mature, its juicy black fruit ripe and concentrated. The high alcohol doesn't show against the natural richness of the wine. 2020 TASTING NOTES This blend of Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet is dense, powerfully structured and still young. Its weight and richness come from superripe fruit and tannins. Age this wine further, be aware of the alcohol, and drink from 2025. SERVING It goes well with game dishes, such as deer stew with fried Alentejo bread flavored with rosemary on the side. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and temperature fluctuations. Serve at a temperature between 18ºC and 20ºC. Consume in moderation.
