Renowned for his artistry, Satou Suigai’s dolls have garnered several prestigious awards such as the Tokyo Governor’s Award (Showa 33/1958) and the Prime Minister's Award (Showa 41/1966), alongside honors in the All-Gunma Modern Kokeshi Contest. Among this delightful assemblage, the eight dolls marked with Suigai's signature echo his artistic vision, while the remaining four are charming creations from other artisans, contributing to the diversity of the set.
