As in all real Katanas this Replica of the film has a blade where there are waves along the entire blade called in Japanese "HAMON" which in this case have a wave pattern and are called in Japanese "Hamon brushed steel". The most incredible detail is the Lion engraved just above The Habaki (which is the anchor of the TSUBA or the handle, which allows the katana to fit in with the "SAYA" scabbard), cared for down to the smallest details and which is very reminiscent of the typical drawings Japanese. THE SCABBARD (SAYA): it's probably the part that makes this Katana incredibly fascinating. It is made of lacquered magnolia wood, but its peculiarities are the details that adorn this sheath. It is absolutely not made of plastic and painted as in the actual production, but it is real wood in this DELUXE VERSION. Just above there is another metal part divided into two pieces called in Japanese "KURIGATA" and "SHITO-DOME" where a gold lace is attached creating perfectly made knots that make it a feast for the eyes. This lace is called in Japanese "SAGEO" and is now braided around the scabbard and its base attached to the "KURIGATA". The base of the scabbard called in Japanese "KOIGUCHI" has another protection has a metal cover and has an open flower in relief on both sides. A little above, carved into the wood, a clover has been carved on top (heraldic leaf of three lobes) and is internally hand painted in gold. Above this engraving there is a support painted internally in titanium color, where there are two small flowers and a gold-colored cotton bow is attached. Beyond this support we find the lion that is on the blade, but this time it is engraved in the wood and always painted in gold. At the end of the handle there is another metal protection where there are other decorations, many different types of flowers. THE GUARD (TSUBA): it is metal, titanium colored, with 8 holes of different shapes 4 on both sides. THE HANDLE (TSUKA): it is the handle, which has its base in wood, then as described above it is covered with a white dot part "Samegawa" (the white part of the handle) which replicates the stingray skin which is a high quality reproduction ( one as much as a real one can cost thousands of euros). The "Samegawa" is covered with a black braided rope which is called "Tsuka-Ito" in Japanese. Under the "Tsuka-Ito" there is a metal dragon. These ornaments that were put in the handle as a good luck were called by the Samurai "MENUKI". At the end of the handle there is another silver protection called in Japanese "KASHIRA" which is stylized with concentric lines and other shapes and one Dragon that's flying. While in the initial part of the handle exactly under the TSUBA (guard) there is another decorated piece called "FUCHI" that has a flowers decorations in silver color as the KASHIRA . The Pedestal: it is included with the katana, it is in wood of black color, with Kanji writing (always of color, yellow - gold). Attention to the photos was also another pedestal with support for two katanas, that pedestal is not included, but only the pedestal of the katana with the Japanese writing . Although this word generically refers to a sword, the term Katana refers to a specific single blade curved sword used by the samurai, the warriors who obeyed the daimyo (feudal), used mainly to strike with fenders, seized on one or two hands. The weapon was usually carried by warrior class members along with the wakizashi (or short sword). The combination of the two swords was called Daisho (from Japanese by = large and sho = small), and represented the power or class social and honor of the samurai. In ancient times, the daisho was made up of tachos and for so long, they did not miss the samurai who preferred to carry so much together with the katana.
