Longines - Jamboree - Sans Prix de Réserve - 2545 - Unisexe - 1960-1969

I'm pleased to offer this elegant and timeless "LONGINES Jamboree" a watch from the early 1960s in a stainless steel case with Swiss hand-wound movement. This design is known as Ref 2545. The watch houses a powerful, high-quality Caliber 280, running on 17 jewels with sweeping seconds complication. It is encased in a classic one-piece stainless steel case and comes with a mint acrylic crystal and an original signed crown. This eclectic Longines watch measures 33mm side to side (excluding crown) and 38mm from top lug to bottom lug. The movement is revised, the power reserve is good and the rate is adjusted for good time keeping, works perfectly !! The cosmetic overall is nearly perfect as can be seen on the pictures (for it's age ). A rare and beautiful collectible watch . Since 1832, Longines has been an important manufacturer in the global watchmaking sector. It experienced strong growth in the 1930s, with the military and aeronautical world still growing. Like Zénith or Omega, Longines participates in chronometry competitions in Neuchâtel. Between 1941 and 1948, Longines dominated the victories and prizes at the Neuchâtel Observatory competitions. The Longines factory will then produce high-quality movements with remarkable finishing. Our example is a reference 7272 which has a steel case and the 280 movement introduced at the beginning of the 1960s. The history of this watch is confirmed by the archive extract issued by Longines, sold in Switzerland on September 15 1965. This watch is in perfect condition, with a high quality dial and a manual movement that works perfectly.
