Seiko - egyé - Unisexe - 1980-1989

The PC Datagraph was the world’s smallest computer terminal when launched in 1985. The display is a three-line dot-matrix display with 2 lines for data and one larger line for the time. The watch has 2k of storage which held 80 “pages” of 2 x 12 characters and can be divided into sub-categories each with their own label. The default was 5 categories, each with 15 "pages" of data (3 x Memo, 1 x Schedule Alarm and 1 x Weekly Alarm) . However it can be re-programmed from software and increased up to 12 categories or reduced to 1 category within the maximum of 80 "pages" in total. (EG. you could have an alarm category with 79 alarms each with a 24 character message). The watch is unworn but the original strap has been destroyed . Please use photos as part of the description. Also known as the "Space Shuttle Watch" this model was sold as "WristMac" in the USA (with Mac software) and was so useful at the time that NASA gave it to the astronauts on the Space Shuttle "Atlantis" on Mission STS-43 in 1991, which allowed them to connect to a Macintosh computer and communicate with Mission Control via a Fax Modem, so they could send information and reminder alarms. With a Cable & Software Set, it could communicate with popular computers of the day like the IBM PC, Commodore 64, Apple II, II+, IIc, IIe and Mac and in the UK the BBC-B and Sinclair Spectrum using a cable and software (not included). There is a small RS-232C serial port on the left side of the watch and a plastic clip attached to the watch to allow a cable to be plugged into the serial port on the computer. The Wrist Terminal Data Manager program allowed you to upload and edit your data. You can also input and edit data directly on the watch, using the buttons and a cursor. A unique feature of these watches is that they could also transmit their data back to the computer using a RC-4200 adaptor (Not included) so you could update your computer after editing. This made it the WORLDS FIRST watch with 2-Way data communication capability!
