A rare Jimini mask from the Northern Ivory Coast, collected in the village Taféré, with three noses and four eyes, with the two in the middle shared by either sides of the face, and three pouted mouths. Geometric shapes ornament the face on the sides of the face and the forehead. The torsos of two figures, one male one female, protruding from the head, both of them their hands resting on their stomachs, their faces distinct and serene with four parted identical updos. The mask also has handle like protrusions, and an upside down fish in the place where a goatee would be. Provenance Belo, Mohamed Garba, incl. stand.
