Pink Floyd ‎– A Momentary Lapse Of Reason - is the 13th studio album by the British progressive rock band Pink Floyd. The album was first released in 1987 and is a significant work in the band's history. The album marks a period in Pink Floyd's history in which the band worked without Roger Waters, one of the band's co-founders and primary lyricist. Waters had left the band after The Final Cut (1983), and A Momentary Lapse of Reason is Pink Floyd's first album without his involvement. The line-up for this album consisted of the band's remaining members: David Gilmour (guitar, vocals), Nick Mason (drums) and Richard Wright (keyboards). In addition, session musicians were hired for bass and background vocals. "A Momentary Lapse of Reason" shows a return to a more guitar-oriented sound and is significantly different from previous albums, which were dominated by Roger Waters. It is an album characterized by melodic guitar riffs and atmospheric keyboard sounds. The album includes songs such as "Learning to Fly," "Sorrow," "On the Turning Away," and "Yet Another Movie."
