Authentic IJA WW II pilot or tank crew's sword in mountings , short gunto , old family blade. This kind of short sword was carried by army pilot or tank crews to fit in small cockpit. The blade was presumably forged by swordsmith Ieshige and signed " Kashu ju Fujiwara Ie ... (shige)" shortened . There were several blacksmiths Ieshige active in Kaga province between 1504 -1644 , unknow which one it is. The blade has WW2 polish and shows fine scratches and stain , no hagire , no nick and cutting edge is sharp. " Sanbon sugi " hamon , " motogasane " : 0,5 cm, " motohaba ": 2.7 cm, " sakihaba ": 1,8 cm , " sakigasane ": 0,4 cm , " nagasa " : 48,8 cm, "sory": 0,9 cm , "o-suriage" nakago (shortened) , length in koshirae: 68,5 cm. The koshirae has traces of use. The sword has Japanese registration certificate , original " torokusho " .
