One of the great hallmarks of Vega Sicilia is the production of concentrated, mature, refined and extremely elegant wines, which have championed the range of the best Spanish wines throughout the world. Currently, in charge of the production of these wines is Gonzalo Iturriaga de Juan, technical director of the winery since 2015. The Vega Sicilia wineries are located in the Valladolid town of Valbuena de Duero, on a farm that forms a meadow that follows the course of the river. This sets the northern limit to the 1,000 hectares of the property; The southern limit is established by the forest that climbs the slope that reaches the plain.
