A rare original 19th Century European sewing table that opens with drawer that contains sack underneath. It can be pulled out completely. The metal bit that pops out to keep the top open works excellently. You gently push it to the side & the top goes down again. There is a built-in pin cushion that folds out with pins, I left them there for fun. This table belonged to a family member who was born in 1905 in House Over Holland, Nieuwersluis, Utrecht, Nederland. The table may have come from this stately home that lies along the Vecht River. The original key works, however the metal part /clasp in the wooden top that goes in the lock is not there. Some cracks inside bottom (photographed) and a small chip in the veneer at the top & corner front (both pictured). The sack works but has loose bits & the wooden frame inside may need a bit of glue. Pick up is in The Hague, Archipelbuurt. I have bubble wrap but a “moving blanket” would be good to bring.
