The head of the animal with deep recessed eyes, likely once adorned with gemstones or inlays (now missing). With a suspension loop positioned at the back of the cat's head, this amulet was likely intended for personal adornment or as a protective charm. Cat amulets, such as this one, were believed to bring good fortune and safeguard against malevolent forces. Individuals often wore them or placed them in tombs to ensure protection in the afterlife.
