Bruciato is among the most symbolic and famous wines of the Guado al Tasso winery, owned by the legendary Antinori family. It is a red from the prestigious Tuscan area of ​​Bolgheri, obtained from a blend of French vines, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Syrah, which reach very high levels of quality in these lands. The name derives from a forest that in the 18th century was completely burned by the inhabitants of the area as a sign of protest against the noble Della Gherardesca family, at the time lords of Bolgheri, who prohibited farmers from hunting within it. This Bolgheri il Bruciato is produced every year within the Antinori family's Tenuta Guado al Tasso, located about 80 km south-west of Florence, on the rolling green hills that surround the ancient village, in an area with a unique microclimate which alternates night and day with good temperature variations, and which allows the grapes to reach perfect maturity. The “Il Bruciato” wine is the breath of the wind, the strength of the earth and the passion of man, it is the demonstration of how these hills generate visual and gustatory emotions. The selected grapes are taken to the cellar where they are destemmed and softly pressed. This is followed by fermentation and maceration on the skins in steel at a controlled temperature for approximately 10-15 days. Part of the Merlot and Syrah is fermented at lower temperatures to maintain the varietal aromas and typical taste. The malolactic fermentation takes place in steel and ends in barrique. At the end of this phase, we proceed with the blending of the wines which will mature in barrique for a few months, before being bottled and refined in glass for another 4 months. Bruciato Antinori contains, with the innate elegance due to its noble birth, the soul of an ancient terroir. The softness of the scent of the breeze, which touches Bolgheri and its hills, dresses in the glass with an intense ruby ​​red and emanates a whirlwind of sensations of small red fruits, such as cherry and blackberry, which intertwine with nuances of sweet, accumulated spices during the passage in wood. On the palate, elegance, softness and balance are the pillars of a full and rich sip, with a pleasant envelopment. A seductive red, able to tell with grace and elegance the aromas of a story made of refinement and success.
