He is erroneously classified as an engraver by Bénézit, while Mariette and Heinecken already call him a publisher more accurately. Zani also writes of him as "painter, engraver, merchant". The nickname Bolzetta came to him from the Bolzetta booksellers and publishers of the Paduan Academy, known to us in the persons of Francesco and his son Pietro, documented between 1593 and 1621.
