The seal number(s) you see on the photos might differ from the one(s) on your bottle(s). 2009 TOTAL WINES, Raríssimo by Osvaldo Amado Red 1 x 0.75L DESCRIPTION Osvaldo Amado, renowned Portuguese winemaker, with almost 40 harvests in history, millions of bottles produced, with thousands of awards awarded and many brands that need no introduction, such as Casa de Santar, Marquês de Marialva or Cabriz. He had already made all kinds of wines, except... his own! And they had to be special, unique, distinct. They had to be rare, or better yet, they had to be ‘Very Rare’. Studio wines, in limited editions, like jewels born from nature. Thus was born the company Total Wines – Vinhos de Portugal and the brand Raríssimo By Osvaldo Amado, launched at the end of 2019. The objective was immediately defined: to produce special, distinct and complex wines... delicately designed, unique, perfect, rare, always accompanied by its creator! "Maturing to enhance the good that nature offers us to achieve excellence has always fascinated me", says Osvaldo Amado. WINEMAKER: Osvaldo Amado. AWARDS/RECOMMENDATIONS 95 Points, Revista Adega 18 Points, Vinho Grandes Escolhas (2001 Vintage) WINE VARIETIES: Touriga Nacional (70%), Aragonez (20%) & Alfrocheiro (10%). VINIFICATION Total stalking, peculiar soft and prolonged maceration, alcoholic fermentation in a granite press at 26ºC. 24 months in French oak barrels, 50% in new barrels with a soft toast and 50% in second-use barrels. TASTING NOTES Intense ruby color with brownish tones, clear appearance. Intense aroma with abundant tertiary notes, resulting from its winemaking and aging process. Intense and complex palate, soft, elegant and harmonious. SERVING It goes well with moderately cooked or lightly structured fish and meats. Store in a horizontal position, in a cool and dry place, protected from light and temperature fluctuations. Serve at a temperature between 16ºC and 18ºC. Consume in moderation.
