◆Special Postcard Album "KABUKI 歌舞伎" before World War II Album size: 25×20×6 cm Weight: 1.5 kg Number: 200 sheet This is an old Japanese postcard album. It includes many scenes from Kabuki, a traditional Japanese performing art. The item is nearly 100 years old now and is an extremely valuable album. This album was entrusted to me by an old house collector in Japan. All are from before 1945. These do not have a clear date of manufacture. However, there is information that can be used to read the age. It can be seen that the Japanese reading of "郵便はがき," meaning a postcard, is right-to-left. This is the way the Japanese language was read before 1945, unlike modern Japan. Thus, we can see that these postcards are pre-1945. Many of the photos are vertical, which shows the actors nicely. They are neatly stored in albums and surprisingly are quite well preserved. One cannot help but feel the depth of the collector's affection. It is old and there are a few postcard stains and tears in the album, but please understand the situation. This is no longer one of the great historical resources. Please come and see these in person.
