The Honda Sport 600 was introduced in 1964. It was born as a higher performance two-seater sports car by modifying the "$500," Japan's first production car with a DOHC engine. The body style was smartly designed in the style of British lightweight sports cars, and the car was nimble. The interior of the car was also full of sports car spirit, with an aluminum instrument panel and a series of four gauges. The 11,000 rpm mark on the tachometer is an expression of the car's character. The water-cooled direct DOHC engine, 606 cc, is equipped with a quadruple CV carburetor and delivers a maximum output of 75 hp and a top speed of 145 km/h.
