PLEASE NOTICE: NO import taxes to European Union countries (EU: Germany, Italy, France etc..) Import taxes might apply to Switzerland, UK, USA and any not EU countries. FUNCTIONAL TESTS: 100% - Load and power reserve: OK - Precision (dial-up and dial down) better than +/- 1 minute per day: OK - Both Bezels rotation: OK - Crown, time, and date regulation: OK - Hands alignment: OK DESCRIPTION: Mortima is together with Sicura and Yema one among the most important brands if you are interested in every man’s and affordable watches from the 1960s and 1970s. Mortima was a french brand from the company ”Cattin & Cie” in Morteau. The city of Morteau is located in east France very near the Swiss border and the famous watch valley La Chaux-de-Fonds. Morteau itself has a rich history of watchmaking dating back to 1750 and today is home to a watch museum. The name ”Mortima” was probably inspired by the city name ”Morteau” and the english word ”time”. This a rare fine example of a vintage Mortima Square Pilot, the shape of this case is a square cut off in top and bottom. The dial reads: "Mortima, Super 28, SuperDatomatic, Waterproof 100%" the rarest version while most have the common "21 Jewels" on the dial. On some "Waterproof 100%" has been left out. It has two crowns - super compressor-style. The crown at 2 controls the internal bezel. There is one external bezel with tachymeter scale. There seems to have been two different layouts on the bezels - one has a larger font. This a rare fine example of a vintage French diver, the watch looks good and is in fully functional working conditions. Swiss Made, production from the '70. Cal. Cattin C66 Diameter: about 44 mm (without crown) The watch is in good condition with minimal traces of wear. Please note: the watch looks better in real than in the pictures that have been taken in macro mode so that defaults are amplified. The watch is in perfect condition considering its age and is fully genuine. The history of maintenance is unknown, but the watch runs with good precision. Please note: Pictures are never retouched. Descriptions are done with care and honesty so that what you see and read is what you get. Shipping with UPS / DHL with tracking number. I do NOT speculate on shipping cost.
