Natsume is a series of "Gosan kiri" Five Three paulownia tree" gold patterns lined up in a disciplined manner.
The Five Three paulownia mark was once an emblem reserved for the imperial family, and is a type of paulownia flower crest that is also known for being used by successive national leaders such as 足利尊氏 Takauji Ashikaga and 豊臣秀吉 Hideyoshi Toyotomi.
What's "Gosan Kiri" Five Three Paulownia
The name of the crest. Three paulownia leaves are hung in a row, and above them, five flowers are arranged in the center and three on each side. It is famous as the crest of the Toyotomi family.
The artist uses a method called 沈金chinkin for painting.
沈金chinkin is a technique of carving lines on the lacquer surface with a knife and filling the grooves with gold leaf or gold powder.
It is a time-consuming technique.
There are some scratches inside, but it is in good condition and can be used without any problems.
Comes with a wooden box.
