About Paddy & Liam Paddy & Liam is the result of six years of photographs that document the lives of these brothers. Perry Ogden met the kids when they were 10 and 11, living with their family in their caravan in Ogden's partner's garden. Paddy and Liam are Irish Travellers, an ethnicity that has faced social and institutional rejection for many years. Ogden's main interest is to expose the viewer to a culture they may not be familiar with. So, he followed the striking-looking brothers through the years, witnessing how their world changed, how they developed passions and personalities. Also, how they interacted with the world and their community. As a result, Paddy & Liam, which is a project in collaboration with stylist Tara St Hill, shows the viewer the passage of time in the Traveller community, focusing on two young brothers and their experiences, with the subtle but noticeable influence of Odgen's fashion background. This way, the final product is a combination of styles and approaches to a more average reportage angle. About Perry Ogden Perry Ogden was born in Shropshire, England, grew up in London and now lives in Dublin, Ireland. His photographs have appeared in countless magazines worldwide including Italian Vogue, Luomo Vogue, British Vogue, W, the Face and Arena, and he has shot advertising campaigns for Ralph Lauren, Chloe and Calvin Klein. These have supplemented more personal projects including the PONY KIDS photographs, which were published by Jonathan Cape/Aperture in 1999.
