“Of the 75 hectares of vineyards on the property, 11 are located in the commune of Saint-Julien, resulting in wines with uncommon elegance for Pauillac. Besides a majority proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, which ensures longevity, the grape composition also includes a significant amount of Merlot, promising more suppleness, especially in its youth. The grand vin of Pichon Comtesse beautifully combines the concentration of a Pauillac with highly distinguished tannins. Its exceptional terroir, facing the Gironde, allows it to better withstand harsh winters and overly hot summers. This wine belongs to the exclusive circle of the greatest Bordeaux wines. Best enjoyed after 10 to 30 years of aging.”
