Magnificent large “Empire” vase, “Queen Victoria “ Collection , marvelous hand painted, with lovely various butterflies and flowers, gold trimmed, in excellent to pristine condition.
The colorful floral and foliate “Queen Victoria “ pattern includes butterflies and other garden insects and was first introduced in 1851 for the First World Exhibition in London.
Reportedly, Queen Victoria herself, was taken with the design and purchased a set, leading to the pattern being named in her honor.
According to Herend literature, "this Chinese-influenced pattern demands the skills of Herend's most talented and experienced painters."
The vase is in excellent to pristine condition, marked with Herend blue shield stamp and numbered, NO chips, NO cracks and NO repairs, please see pictures as they are part of description.
