Terre di Talamo is located south of Grosseto in the Tuscan Maremma. The D.O.C.G. It's Morellino di Scansano. The hill overlooks the sea with a view that ranges from the port of Talamone to the Argentario promontory. The vineyard land is approximately 32 ha and the grape varieties are Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Syrah, Alicante, Petit Verdot. The whites are Vermentino and Viogner. The very stony soils are a mixture of brown clays and the exposure of the vineyards extends from south-east to north-west. The mineral component is very important in Terre di Talamo wines thanks to the geographical position of the company very close to the sea. Color At sight, the wine has a well-defined straw color with alternating green notes that create a beautiful clarity, brilliant on the finish. Perfume On the nose it reveals vegetal sensations of sage and laurel, then light notes of myrtle: the iodine and brackish note is evident, complete with sensations linked to glasswort, then fruity with aromas of white plum and golden apple. Taste On the palate it is pleasant with a good initial envelopment, followed by a lively acidity and a saline finish of beautiful continuity.
