The Konica C35 Flashmatic is a compact 35mm rangefinder introduced in 1971, part of the hugely popular C35 family that helped define the lightweight everyday camera. It carries a sharp 38mm f/2.8 Hexanon lens and a CdS-metered programmed automatic exposure system. Its signature feature is the Flashmatic mechanism, which couples the aperture to the focused distance and a set flash guide number for easy flash photography. Small, well-built in Japan and reliable, the C35 series earned the nickname "Journey Konica" and remains a much-loved compact among film shooters.
