Original Co-Op Quik Lift Hydraulic Oil five U.S. gallon metal oil can produced for the Farmers Union Central Exchange (CENEX Co-Op), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA.
A striking example of American agricultural petroliana featuring the iconic red, yellow and green Co-Op colour scheme together with illustrations of vintage farm machinery.
The can remains complete with:
* Original screw cap
* Original pouring spout with cap
* Original wire carry handle
* Factory vent cap marked “Fill & Vent Opening”
* Original lithographed finish
The underside is factory stamped:
* GPF
* DOT 37BGC2
* STC
* 1973
This dates the can to 1973.
The graphics remain bright with an attractive used patina. Light scratches, small paint losses and minor oxidation are present from normal workshop use. No major dents or restoration observed. An excellent display piece for collectors of American petroliana, agricultural memorabilia or Co-Op/CENEX advertising.
A difficult can to find in Europe.
