Egy klasszikus és jó karban megőrzött példány a korai Seiko Cronos sorozatból; ez a 1959-es időmérő a vintage Seiko gyűjtők körében kifejezetten keresett modell. A Daini Seikosha üzem által bemutatva, közvetlen riválisként Suwa Marveljének, a Cronos történelmi súlyt képvisel, mivel a kézi felhúzású mozgalom ehhez az egységhez kapcsolódik, amely később az első King Seiko alapját képezte. Ez a különleges óra elegáns 14K aranyozott tokkal és őszinte, eredeti ezüstös számlappal büszkélkedhet, ami jellegzetes vintage karaktert kölcsönöz neki.
Brand: Seiko
Model: Cronos
Reference Number: J14021
Serial Number: N 911226
Movement: Manual winding, 23 jewels
Dial: Silvered with applied gold-tone indices
Case Size: 35 mm (excluding the crown)
Case Material: 14K Gold Filled
Production Year: 1959
Condition: Good vintage condition. Timegrapher: +12+14s/day, performing remarkably well.
Dial and Hands
Case and Crystal
A 14K aranyozott tokkal közepesen kopott, a tokkal bevont aranyozás patinája jól kiépült.
Movement
A timegrapher +12+14s/nap értéket mutat.
Condition
Good vintage condition. The 14K gold-filled case and bezel show visible tarnish, oxidation, and moderate wear, while the original silvered dial displays light spotting and a distinct mark above the center pinion. The dauphine hands and unsigned crown exhibit oxidation and heavy tarnish. The clear acrylic crystal is well-preserved, and the manual-winding movement is remarkably clean, performing very strongly as supported by the recorded timegrapher result.
Dimensions
The case measures 35 mm (excluding the crown).
Remarks
This Seiko Cronos is a highly appealing find for collectors of early Japanese horology. Its beautifully aged 14K gold-filled case and historically significant 23-jewel manual-winding movement make it a compelling and charismatic addition to any vintage collection.
History
The Seiko Cronos was introduced in 1958 by the Daini Seikosha factory as a direct internal competitor to the Suwa factory's highly successful Marvel line. Produced around 1959, the reference J14021 represents a pivotal era of rapid advancement and internal rivalry within Seiko. The manual-winding movement used in the Cronos, known as the Caliber 54, proved so reliable and well-engineered that it ultimately served as the foundational base for the very first King Seiko, cementing the model's lasting legacy in Japanese watchmaking history.
