This small device, used for drawing, "allows to trace the nature." Essentially, it consists of a small prism attached at the end of a telescopic support. The support has a vice-like grip foot for its fixation on the edge of a table. The camera lucida, formed in this way, allows to overlay, when aiming through the prism, the image of the subject you wish to draw and the sheet of paper. To reproduce the subject, you simply follow its virtual image with the tip of a pencil.
