Stunning statue of Dewi Tara. 'Tara' literally means 'the saviouress'. This is why, in Buddhism, Tara is the essence (deity) of compassion above everything else. She's the mother of the Tibetan people, and is known as a devout queen or spouse. She is the goddess of beauty and the symbol of femininity. The statue is made of ground igneous rock and has stunning natural colours. As can be seen in the extensive selection of photos. The statue is lavishly decorated and has lots of beautiful details. There is a water hose in the bottom of the statue (invisible) and there is a hole in the jug she is holding, through which the water can be squirted. This is visible in the 2nd photo. The statue is approx. 125 cm high and weighs 60 kg. The statue is not new. It has to be picked up due to the size and weight of the statue!
