DETAILS: Beautiful and excellent vintage Cauny Prima gold filled classic Big size from my personal collection. From circa 1950's La Chaux-de-Fonds production. Reference: 83 779 / 1130. Serial number: 552607 (marked on the machine). Manual winding reliable movement caliber AS 1130 (marked under the balance wheel), 15 Jewels Antimagnetic. Case with art-deco lugs in Die Cast shiny gold filled 10 microns (replated), marked PLAQUE G10 (micron) between lower lugs. Pearl white dial nice intricate guilloché background with gold plated hands and indexes - UNRESTORED condition, all original. Diameter size 38mm (without crown). Genuine leather band brown with croco grain center and gold plated buckle. Band is 20mm wide at lugs and 15mm at buckle side. Band is 118mm length holes side and 70mm buckle side. Easily adjustable to fit every man's wrist size. Buckle is original Hirsch brand in gold plated. Replacement aftermarket crown, gold plated. Domed acrylic crystal. Stainless steel polished/brushed case back with brand engravings and logo/seal. NOT water resistant (NOT to be submerged - NOT guaranted in water sports/diving, etc.). Swiss Made - Manufacture - La Chaux-de-Fonds. No case supplied, sorry. All original and authentic (except band/buckle and crown). All pictures are of the actual item. CONDITION: MOVEMENT - Running fine and marked Cauny Prima, caliber AS 1130, 15 jewels (see picture), manual wind mechanical, SWISS. Machine is very clean, has no oxidation and no flaws. The ticking and balance movement seems very strong and the accuracy is excellent for a piece of this vintage. Seems oiled and never to have been disassembled - has no tools marks on it. I've checked the accuracy of the watch and the difference in 24 hours is excellent, I would say about 30-40 seconds, maybe not very consistent (laying flat and facing up - 1 position), and of course can easily be adjusted. Sure this is very good for such a vintage watch. DIAL - Unrestored in perfect mint condition - very nice pearl tone finish background with black engravings. Has no scratches, no cracks, no deformations, no pitting, no flaws at all. No oxidation or yellowing. No fading to the letters, scales and markings (see pictures). The hour markers are gold plated and raised in perfect condition with no spots of oxidation. All markings are intact. HANDS - All hands are straight and original and have no flaws, no bends and no deformations. Insignificat oxidations to the gold plated hours and minutes hands. In perfect condition with no scratches. CASE - The case is die cast gold filled and polished that renders it very beautiful. Replated - has some minor and very acceptable signs of normal everyday wear like micro scratches that are hardly visible in pictures. There are some wear to the gold plating here and there, especially corners and edges. No scuffs or cracks. Case has no deformations, all the edges are nice and crisp, No damaged corners. Lugs have an exact 20mm opening and are not bent by accidental deformation in any direction. WINDING CROWN - Excellent, gold plated and not original - aftermarket replacing. No dents, scratches or scuffs. Insignificant brassing, edges very crisp. Setting the hour perfectly. BACK COVER - Stainless steel marked with normal Cauny chrono marks and Logo (see pic). Snap-on type. Cover has no deformation, no noticeable scratches. No dents, nicks, dings or scuffs. No oxidations. Snaps easily and locks firmly. CRYSTAL - Generic acrylic and as new, polished - no scratches or cracks, probably similar to the original one. BAND & BUCKLE - Excellent with minimal wear, very nice. Very soft touch and flexible.
