No. 3 African knives (2 Ethiopia + 1 Cameroon) from my collection of “worn knives”
1) Ethiopian knife from the area of Lalibela: curved blade with hump, solid and quite worn, length 14 cm. Nice bone handle with rings in aluminium, brass and copper. Total length: 24 cm.
2) Ethiopian knife from the area of Harar: small handcrafted leather sheath with metal reinforcements, double-edged blade with old patina due to its use but without rust, length 14 cm. Handle with the typical T shape in aluminium alloy and leather, decorated with aluminium rivets (some got lost), overall length 24 cm.
3) Knife from the Fulbe ethnic group, Cameroon, area of Maroua: leather sheath covered with a skilfully braided cotton cord. Chrome iron blade with small engravings on both sides (a small imperfection on the edge of the blade). Blade length 19 cm. Wooden handle covered with sewn leather. Overall length inside the sheath: 29 cm.
Knives in good used condition, part of my collection for many years.
