A captivating and very rare Art Nouveau gilded bronz vase mad around 1890-1910 in Paris by Paul Louchet. Paul Louchet (1854-1936) was an important French painter and sculptor of the Art Nouveau period. He was also a bronze caster and president of the "Chambre Syndicale des Fabricant Bronze".
This piece is a very rare vase with a squirrel on a hazelnut tree, holding its front paw above a hazelnut. Absulutely top quality very finely cast, heavy bronze piece with beautiful craftsmanship and details.
Marked with Louchet's round foundry stamp.

Condition:
Vey good condition (see photos). The left ear of the squirrel is slightly folded to the back but this was probably intended. Since the vase is so rare that no image of an other piece can be found it's impossible to compare.
