Beautiful plaque of a group of mischievous boys climbing an apple tree to harass birds in their nest. The plaque is silver-plated, applied to yellow copper. The artwork is nicely placed in high relief, especially the four boys. At the bottom signed " H. SCHIEVELKAMP " cfr. Helmuth Schievelkamp (1849- circa 1932, Germany). At the bottom also marked with the number 13 and "KUNSTANSTALT WMF GEISLINGEN ST (an der Steige)" The latter indicates that the work was made before 1893. Originating from Germany. In very nice condition, some spots but these can be removed with silver polish. Dimensions: approx. 47 cm in length x 15 cm width x 2 cm thickness.
