This amp is the second successor to the SUPERGROUP Amp with 60 watts, which was launched in 1968. This amp is in very good and working original condition. The version offered here is probably the 1969 model. The built-in transformers are the original "Made in England" Partridge transformers. The optical condition is very clearly recognisable by the detailed photos. This amplifier was last owned by a professional musician and was part of his collection. This hand-wired Point to Point full tube amp was manufactured from 1969 to 1973. The sound can be classified as a Plexi Marshall, but with a little more gain. The amp just sounds like the very early Black Sabbath. It is rumoured that the super group was developed at the suggestion of Toni Iommi. He didn't want the Plexi sound but he didn't want Marshall Amps. The fact is that this Laney is technically actually a copy of the Marshalls from the late 60s. Here, too, English Partridge transformers were used. But that's all very subjective ...
