The Renault Clio 1.8 16v was the top of the range in 1991, powered by a powerful 1764 cm³ engine capable of delivering 137 HP of maximum power, pushing the car at a maximum speed of 209 km/h. This model became one of the icons of lovers of compact sports cars and one of the models most appreciated by young people. The first catalysed versions appeared in 1991. The introduction of the catalyst caused a slight power reduction in the engines involved. So, the 1.8 16v dropped from 137 to 135 HP.
