A finely carved pipe made of meerschaum depicting Vercingetorix. This pipe was most probably made by one of the leading meerschaum sculptors: "Sommer Paris". Amber stem. Delivered with its original case. Made in France in the late 19th century - Distributed by A. Lancel in Marseille. In good overall condition given its age, some signs of age and wear, stains, marks, scratches, small dents, micro-scratches and small chips on the amber stem. The stem has been glued.
